What we collect

Candidates: name, email, phone (optional), city and preferred work locations, positions of interest, years of experience, skills, availability, pay expectations, work authorisation status (yes or no only), certifications, and any resume you upload.

Employers: contact name, business name, email, phone (optional), business description, logo, website and location, plus the job postings you create.

Everyone: account sign-in details, application and status history, and basic technical information such as browser type needed to run the site securely.

Why we collect it

To run the recruitment process: showing jobs to candidates, delivering applications to the employer who posted the job, and letting both sides track status.

We collect only what is needed for recruitment. We do not sell personal information and we do not use candidate data for advertising.

Who can see your information

Candidate profiles and resumes are never public. An employer sees your profile and resume only after you apply to one of that employer’s jobs, and only for that application.

Job postings and employer business profiles are public once approved.

The HospitalityHire Vancouver administrator can access accounts to approve listings, provide support and remove inappropriate content.

Identity documents

To respond to shifts, workers submit a photo of a government-issued identity document together with their legal name. The document is used for one purpose only: a person at the platform checks that the name matches and the document appears genuine. Only the administrator can open it; employers never see it.

The image is deleted as soon as the review decision is made, usually within one business day. We keep only the document type, the outcome and the date of the check. If you delete your account, that record is deleted with it.

Track records and ratings

After a booked shift, the employer records whether you attended and may rate you and leave a short comment. This record (show-up rate, number of shifts, no-shows, average rating and comments) is shown to other employers when you respond to their shifts. Ratings are kept while your account exists.

How long we keep it

Your account and profile stay until you delete them. Applications are kept while the related job and accounts exist, and for a limited period afterwards for dispute handling.

Your choices

You can edit your profile at any time and request deletion of your account and personal information from your account settings or by emailing us. Deletion removes your profile, resume and applications, except where we must keep a record by law.

Security

Accounts are protected with secure authentication and role-based access. Resumes and personal details are stored in private storage and are not accessible without signing in.
